README: PathScale EKOPath Compiler Suite - 2.5

This is the 2.5 release of the PathScale EKOPath Compiler Suite, which
includes OpenMP for Fortran/C/C++. We appreciate your interest in the
PathScale EKOPath Compiler Suite and look forward to your comments and
feedback. For help, comments, or to report bugs, please contact
support@pathscale.com.

Note: This release is capable of generating both 32-bit and 64-bit
executables on a 64-bit system. On a 32-bit system it will generate 
only 32-bit executables.

The 2.5 release also includes the 1.1 release of the PathScale
debugger (pathdb). The debugger will be installed as part of the
compiler environment.


Important notice about this release
------------------------------------

Refer to release_notes.txt for last minute updates and information 
concerning known issues.

If you are upgrading to release 2.5 from a previous release of the
compiler, you will need to copy the subscription file to a new
location.  Refer to Section 4.10 of the PathScale EKOPath Compiler
Suite Install Guide for more information.

Additionally, the C and Fortran compilers have been tested on
the following Linux distribution.  Please see the release notes
for more information.

Where the Compilers are Installed 
---------------------------------

By default the PathScale EKOPath compilers are installed under:

  /opt/pathscale/

Note: The software supports installing in other directories using
--prefix. See the Install Guide for information (Install.pdf).


Basic Installation Instructions
-------------------------------

Please see the PathScale EKOPath Compiler Suite Install Guide
(Install.pdf) for install directions. The guide can be found in the
top directory of the CD at:
  <mount_point>/Install.pdf

You can also find the PathScale EKOPath Compiler Suite Install 
Guide in:
  /opt/pathscale/share/doc/pathscale-compilers-2.5/
after installation. 

If you installed using the --prefix option, the Install Guide will 
be in <install_directory>/pathscale/share/doc/pathscale-compilers-2.5/.


Setting Your PATH and Starting the Compilers
--------------------------------------------

information on correctly setting your PATH and invoking the compilers.
