PathScale Selects ServiWare of Croissy Beauborg, France to Distribute its Industry-Leading Linux Compiler Suite

ServiWare Expands PathScales Reseller Network in Western European High
Performance Computing Markets

Croissy Beaubourg (Paris), France — June 21, 2004
PathScale, Inc., developer of innovative software and hardware solutions to
accelerate the performance and efficiency of Linux clusters, and ServiWare,
a leading European integrator of high-performance clustered computing
solutions, have announced an agreement to market and support the PathScale
EKO Compiler Suite in France. The PathScale EKO Compiler Suite, comprised of
C, C++ and Fortran 77/90/95 compilers, is the world's highest performance
64-bit compiler suite for Linux-based AMD Opteron systems.

"ServiWare is a very successful, highly-experienced HPC systems
integrator for Hewlett Packard, IBM and Sun," said Nick Bavaro, VP of
Sales at PathScale. "ServiWare's decision to join the Pathscale FastPath
Reseller Partner Program is an indication of the significant worldwide demand
for the PathScale EKO Compiler Suite and for AMD64-based systems."

PathScale C, C++ and Fortran 77/90/95 compilers leverage the AMD Opteron
processor's high-performance 64-bit functionality and industry-leading
price/performance. PathScale compilers are compatible with applications
compiled with gcc and g++ as they use the gnu front-ends. Results on real
application code and industry standard benchmarks show that the PathScale
Compiler Suite offers the highest performance 64-bit compilers for AMD
Opteron and Athlon64 processor-based Linux systems by a margin of up to 40
percent.

"We are recommending the PathScale EKO Compiler Suite to all of our
AMD64 Linux-based customers who are doing 64-bit applications
development," said Pierre de Ponteves, Directeur Gnral of ServiWare.
"The superior performance of the PathScale compilers has impressed us,
and we are confident that our HPC customers will be very satisfied as
well."

First introduced in November, 2003, PathScale's compilers are now
immediately available through ServiWare's five locations throughout France --
Paris, Lyon, Saint-Nazaire, Strasbourg, and Toulouse. They are available as
an annual subscription service at a cost of US$1,495 per user, including all
appropriate software, updates, upgrades and support for an entire year. The
1.2 version of the PathScale EKO Compiler Suite will be available on June 30,
2004 and will provide support for SuSE 9.1 and Fedora Core 2, as well as
significant performance improvements for both 64-bit and 32-bit
applications.
