PathScale Selects Delta Computer Products of Hamburg, Germany to Distribute its Industry-Leading Linux Compiler Suite

Delta Expands PathScales Reach into Central European High-Performance
Computing Markets

Hamburg (Grande), Germany — June 21, 2004
PathScale, Inc., developer of innovative software and hardware solutions to
accelerate the performance and efficiency of Linux clusters, and Delta
Computer Products GMBH, a leading integrator of high-performance computing
solutions, have announced an alliance to market and support the PathScale EKO
Compiler Suite in Germany. Comprised of C, C++ and Fortran 77/90/95
compilers, the PathScale Compiler Suite is the worlds highest performance
64-bit compiler suite for Linux-based AMD Opteron systems.

"Delta has nearly 20 years experience in supporting high-performance
computing systems within universities, research organizations and industrial
enterprises throughout Europe," said Nick Bavaro, VP of Sales at
PathScale. "Their extensive experience in the design and management of
high-performance clustered systems for large enterprises will be a strong
asset to the PathScale FastPath global reseller network."

PathScale C, C++ and Fortran 77/90/95 compilers leverage the AMD Opteron
processor's high-performance 64-bit functionality and industry-leading
price/performance. Results on real application code and industry standard
benchmarks show that the PathScale Compiler Suite offers the highest
performance 64-bit compilers for AMD Opteron processor-based Linux servers by
a margin of up to 40 percent. PathScale compilers use gnu gcc front-ends,
making them fully compatible with applications compiled with gnu tools and
enabling easy migration to higher performance systems.

"We have experienced very strong interest in the PathScale EKO
Compiler Suite from our AMD Opteron-based HPC customers who want their
systems to achieve the highest possible performance," said Peter
Hellmann, CEO of Delta Computer Products. "PathScale will be a critical
part of our product strategy of delivering the most recent, cutting-edge
cluster computing technology for academic research, government facilities and
commercial organizations."

First introduced in November, 2003, PathScales compilers are now
immediately available through Delta's offices in Grande, Germany, near
Hamburg. They are available as an annual subscription service at a cost of
US$1,495 per user, including all appropriate software, updates, upgrades and
support for an entire year. The 1.2 version of the PathScale EKO Compiler
Suite will be available on June 30, 2004 and will provide support for SuSE
9.1 and Fedora Core 2, as well as significant performance improvements for
both 64-bit and 32-bit applications.
